Welcome to Faith Outreach Ministries.com. We pray you have come to visit this site with an expectation to experience all the great and wonderful things God has in store for His people and this congregation.

 

In order to help you get to know us better, we would like to take this opportunity to give you some personal background on Ranita, my wife of twenty years, and myself.

Ranita and I have both lived in the Rockingham and Augusta counties area of Virginia all of our lives. We have found that God really has a sense of humor. As small children, we both went to the same church but never really knew each other until later when we met in 1985 and were married the following year.

We started serving the Lord and attended Word Ministries Outreach in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1991 setting under a truly anointed teacher and pastor Larry Roth. While attending Word we were involved in several ministries. I taught Wednesday night children’s church and was also an usher during Sunday services, while Ranita sang on the Praise and Worship team. We also hosted a weekly care group in our home.

In 1995, the Lord called us to help a couple that were starting a church in Shenandoah county, over an hour and fifteen minutes away from our home. But knowing God was sending us and that He would take care of us, we obediently commuted the distance sometimes three and four times a week. For many years we both taught Sunday school and I was an Elder. I also helped in the building and remodeling of three churches. Ranita sang on the praise and worship team and lead the worship team for three years. During this time, we were still hosting a care group in our house. It was also during this time that God birthed Missions Around the World.

 

Ranita and I operate Missions Around the World, a locally based nonprofit organization that does missions work all over the world. To present, MATW has focused most of its efforts in South Africa. I have been to Africa seven times in the past six years. Ranita has gone alongside me to Africa during the last two trips. We also want to do more outreach and ministry work through Missions Around the World in the local Harrisonburg area and in growing into the ministries name other parts of the world.

Sensing the completion of our church plant in Shenandoah county, the Lord had us rest and wait, seeking Him for our new direction and assignment. During those two and a half years we attended Word Ministries Outreach and continued to host a local care group.

 

The Lord has spoken again and given us this new blessed assignment, to start Faith Outreach Ministries, a church expecting the unexpected! We are excited about what God has in store in the weeks and months to come and look forward to meeting and serving you.
